This Summer 2006 main-gate map, featuring the Pirates of the Caribbean front cover, was distributed to guests in the weeks following the major refurbishment which saw Captain Jack Sparrow added to one of the park’s most legendary attractions. Though Disneyland’s golden anniversary had taken place nearly a year prior, the festivities would not end until September (hence the guide map’s theming). The publication contains the usual overview of park services, attractions, dining, shopping, entertainment, and exhibits, along with graphics and text specifically relevant to the park’s 50^th anniversary celebrations.
