This January 13-26, 2011, issue of Walt Disney World’s official cast-member publication Eyes and Ears (Vol. 41, No. 1) was the first printed in the re-designed 8.5” x 11” magazine-style format. For the occasion, the issue was “wrapped” in an external cover parodying the parks’ typical “Please Pardon Our Pixie Dust” refurbishment sites. An editor’s note on page three explains the changes to the publication were made in part because of cast-member feedback. The lengthened format yields twenty-eight pages in the premiere issue, far more than the elongated newspaper-style publication of previous years.
