This map and information guide was distributed to guests of Downtown Disney for the week of October 5 – 12, 1997. The re-branding of the resort’s popular dining, shopping, and entertainment district had taken place only a month prior on September 7, 1997. A little over a week later, the area known as Downtown Disney West Side had opened, joining the long-standing Downtown Disney Marketplace and Pleasure Island sections, which formerly made up the Disney Village Marketplace.
