With a printing date of July 1982 (three months before the park’s opening), this is one of the earliest EPCOT Center guide maps ever made available. A nearly-identical map would follow in 1983, but with slight differences, including a park map sectioned into Future World and World Showcase, as well as a space-themed dial panel.
Sponsored by Kodak, the square-shaped guide is oddly-configured and includes the dial-guide feature to provide additional information on the seven Future World and nine World Showcase pavilions that debuted with the park.
The map represents a unique take on the traditional park map, in honor of the exploratory new property that constituted the resort’s second theme-park venture.
