This 24-page newspaper publication was released to promote the “Disneyland ’59” expansion project, the largest up to that point in the park’s short history. The project cost $6 million and included the Matterhorn Bobsleds attraction, additions to the Motorboat CruisesSkyway, and Autopia attractions, the Submarine Voyage attraction, as well as the Disneyland-Alweg Monorail transportation system. The publication was included as a supplement to the L.A. Times on Sunday, June 14, 1959. This copy, however, is one of the rarer issues, void of the “Advertising Section” text in the upper-right corner, that would have been distributed throughout the park itself during the summer months, in locations such as the Carnation Café. The publication features a mix of full-color artwork and photographs on each page, including a full-size map of the park on the center page.
